Based on its estimates of moon visibility, SUPARCO had forecast that Ramadan will probably start on March 2.
What is Ramadan
Fasting is a blessing and Subhan Allah my Holy Prophet said that everything has a zakat. The zakat of existence is fasting. Keep fasting and the zakat of the body will come out.
The beloved Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O people, a great and blessed month is dawning upon you.
Allah named the 11 months after the Arabs and named the month of fasting himself in the Quran.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said
The blessed city. He said: This is a month of great blessings. It has come with blessings, mercy. It has come with these verses. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever seeks goodness in Ramadan with the intention of being close to Allah, he will do good deeds.
Then Allah will give him a reward equal to the obligatory deeds.
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Whoever performs one obligatory deed in this month, Allah will give him a reward equal to 70 obligatory deeds.
This is a blessed month. My reward will increase greatly in it.
Nowhere in Pakistan was it possible to see the moon throughout the holy month of Ramadan in 1446 Hijri.
For the Ramadan moon sighting, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met in Peshawar today (Friday). The committee declared that the moon was not visible following the meeting, according to Express News.
Representatives from the Meteorological Department and SUPARCO attended meetings held nationwide by several zonal committees for moon sighting.
However, the central committee was informed that there is no information about the moon being sighted from Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi.
According to the moon sighting, Ramadan 2025 is likely to start from March 2.
